In the series A Walk (2022 - 2023), the artist explores the dual relationship between photography and memory. Although photography is understood mimetically, as a documentary imprint of the world around us, photography, like memory, represents the subjective view of the author instead of objective reality. But despite their subjectivity, both of them carry a hint of truth.

The photographs in the series Walk, Once Upon a Time were taken on a walk with a friend of the artist. Neither of them remembers exactly when or where.

The film on which the photographs were taken was developed a few months later, and while developing it, the author experimented with the technique of soaking the film. Instead of strict documentarism, she turned to a more subjective and abstract visual language to represent her memories. The photographs are only half developed, giving them the appearance of faded images of memory.

Their subjectivity and fragmentation thus reflect the real state of the artist's memory.
